I have a 42 inch plasma panasonic tv, will the picture look better if i put the brightness to the highest?

should i switch the brightness to the highest and is there anything else i can do to improve the picture for gaming i dont care about it gettingt ruined i just care about the best gaming possible thank you.

  1. I have a 42 inch panasonic plasma....I like the auto settings, it seems to be best in the room the tv is in.


  2. Don't do it, it makes the picture look foggy....

    You set Brightness to halfway, your color to half, and your CONTRAST /PICTURE setting to 3/4, UP TO FULL.....

    That gives you the best picture....the contrast setting is the one that makes the picture look good (or bad).

    So start with those settings and stay NEAR them....don't go off too far or your picture will look terrible....

  3. not really, it can just look awkard, the real thing to do if you want to get a good pic, is to get good input into ur tv, like the leads ur scart or hdmi, especially if it is a ps3 you need a hdmi cable, these are expensive but i guarntee worth every penny

  4. Brightness controls black levels. So, if you put it all the way up, you make your blacks will look washed out.

    Get a DVD calibration disc like Video essentials or ISF/Monster.
