I have a 42 " LCD HDTV (LG Brand),does anyone have any info what the optimal settings are for this set ?

such as contrast,color, back light.The TV is located in a room with low to moderate light.

  1. Under the User 1 Setting:

    Contrast 60

    Brightness 43

    Color 40

    Sharpness 0

    Tint 0

    Color Temp User

    Under the User Setting:

    Red +4

    Green 0

    Blue +2

    XD Manual

    Under the Manual Setting:

    XD Contrast Off

    XD Color Off

    XD Noise On

    Advanced:

    Black Level Low


  2. If the signal is strong,

    Contrast - 100%

    Brightness - the level at which you can see all the details in the picture - too much of brightness will increase the white level and in low brightness level you can't have a clear view of an object.

    Color - a very little more than the level at which the color is real (eg. a black hair should be black, a greenish lawn should be natural green- there will be too much of green if you increase  the color level)

    Sharpness - 100% if you like it, otherwise the level at which the picture is very pleasing.

    See a picture with these levels. You can definitely see the difference comparing with other predefined color setting like vivid, natural, etc.
