I have a 4ohm 15" Kicker L7& a U.S. amp that runs at 4000 watts at 1ohm,1500 at 2ohm..wire parallel or series?

4ohm 15" Kicker L7 & a U.S. amp that is 1ohm stable at 4000w...2ohm 1500 i believe...should i wire the sub in parallel...does anyone know about the (U.S. Amps Xterminator Series XT4000d)

US amps are decent amps, but don't get caught up in max ratings they are meaning less, and always look at ratings that are pertenent to your sub. in this case your sub is a dual 4 ohm 1000 watt rms sub. you can wire it to 2 ohm or 8 ohm, thats it. so a 1 ohm rating is meaningless... because you dont have a 1 ohm load. Back to the amp. the rattings you mentioned were peak ratings, when you look at rms ratings for a 2 ohm load it is 450 watts (see link below). so 450 is way below the 1000 the sub will hold, so definately go with a parrellel hook up. in series you will have a 8 ohm load and only about 100 watts, which is not really enough to even ru that sub properly...
