  1. Sorry, The Taoyuan Airport is not much and not close enough to Town for you to go and see any sights and return in time to catch your connection.

  2. If you are talking about Taoyuan int'l AP in Taiwan, actually the AP is not in Taipei, it takes about 1 hr to Taipei. I think 5 hrs is not enough to do something in Taipei.

    You can take taxi to Taoyuan city or just stay at some restaurants to taste Taiwanese/Chinese food in the AP.
