I have a 5 year old son and i am very worried that he has been sexually abused.

my son has been doing very strange things that makes me wonder if he has been sexually abused. The other night he was caught with his pants down with his stuffed bunny over his p***s another inncident he was caught plaing with himseslf and touching our male dog on his p***s please help i am very worried about my son. i have tried to talk to him but he totaly shuts down and won't say anything

Children ARE aware of pleasurable feelings, THEY just do NOT know that it is considered sexual....  he is at the age of discovery of self...  and we as adults need to remember that curiosity may be innocent.  

Bunny = soft....    dog = "hey he has one too"....  

playing with self = THAT is what YOU call it.... HE just thinks it feels good.

Explain to him that those are his private parts and that THAT is why we keep them in clothes.

IF you ask him the wrong type of questions YOU will be the one putting ideas in HIS head about ADULTS touching him wrong.... MAKING him curious.

It sounds like something is wrong. No offense but where has your 5 year old been that he could have been abused?? I mean you should be the main person with him. You should definitely be more careful who you leave him with. You can never be to careful with your children.

I think you should take him to his Dr. and then to the counselor.  It is always best to get the advise of a professional with this kind of thing because it is something that will have a huge effect on him for the rest of his life.

Take him to a psychologist sooner rather than later.  If you don't it could cause serious mental damage.
