Its been about 30 degrees in Toronto. My tv has been having the fan on frequently during the day. The tv lamp has been changed once. When the fan is on can it mean, we need to change the lamp again???????

  1. Is it 30 degrees in your house?  Probably not.  The lamp might just need to be calibrated because it is running too hot.  You don't need to change the lamp until it burns out.

  2. Is this a rear-projection TV or a flat LCD TV?

It is rare to have to change backlight on an LCD, so i assume you have a rear-projection. Typical Lamp life is about 1K to 2K hours.

If it is hot, yes, the fan will be ON.
