I have a $50 series EE savings bond purchased for 25. Does the bond stop gaining interest once it reaches $50?

My grandma purchased bonds for me every year from 1986 until 2006.

  1. No, they continue for 30 years.

    Your 1986 bond is probably worth $84 now.


  2. If you go to the US Treasury website, you will find a link for Savings Bond Wizard.  When you get to that site, it will allow you to type in the numbers for each bond and then it will tell you the present value of each bond.
