  1. I think you should go door to door and ask people.  Or dig it up and put a for sale sign on it.  I don't know you idiot.  Better yet pay for a commercial and put it on TV

  2. http://www.google.com/search?q=sell+blac...

if you scan those sites, you'll notice that many of them are to the COunty Extension Offices.... so call yours... they should be able to put you in touch with someone who will be what you need.....

  3. Call logging company or lumber supply stores for suggestions.

If in an urban yard, you may not find a buyer.  Loggers like to work a woodlot with lots of trees, it is not cost effective for them to bring in all their equipment to cut just one.

Link below to list of loggers in Wisconsin.

  4. Judy B has the right answer for you except for the fact that a large Black Walnut tree certainly is valuable enough for a logger to bring in the equipment needed to remove it and will pay you as well.

  5. well, i hate to say it, but there is no way on earth that thing is going to be moved alive.

if you simply have to get rid of it, look for local small lumber mills, they would be the best people to offer it to. (so that the wood is used for building things, not burned for C02 and smoke). if you cant find a lumber mill, then your last bet is to offer it for firewood, but it'd be a real shame to loose a tree like that to firewood.

  6. CALL A LOCAL FURNITURE BUILDER.  THEY CAN MAKE SOME BEAUTIFUL FURNITURE OUT OF WALNUT AND WILL PROBABLY PAY A DESCENT PRICE FOR IT, TOO.

  7. Whoa!  You could call a company that specializes in moving large trees.  They may have a client looking for a mature specimen such as yours. You could also call your local cooperative extension office, as they may have contacts to whom they could direct your question.
