I have a 55 inch rear projection tv magnavox?

the set works. But it only perjects a three inch strip down the center of the screen. what could cause this and how do i fix it

One or all of the color guns are probably shot. With a projection tv it usually costs more to fix any kind of problem they have than what they were worth when you first bought it.  Better off to buy a new tv. Definitely not a projection again, when mine blew thank god it was under warranty, saw the bill, thank god hitachi was paying it and not me!
