Don't say anything about having a good breakfast; I already did.

  1. hydrate, hydrate, hydrate...  light snack an hour before (powerbar, granola, or anything high protein).  make sure that you stretch properly.  3.1 miles doesn't seem like a long distance to some, but cramping often holds a runner back, if they do not stretch properly.  be sure to drink plenty of water, not GATORADE!!!   Good Luck!

  2. c**p, i'm late... its 9:05...

but i was gonna say Jog till you get to the end, or RUN REALLY FAST, and when your tired, Jog

  3. you just run and only!

  4. Drink plenty of water throughout the morning and don't start the race going out like a gangbanger! within the first mile

  5. Jog an easy 2 miles to get your heart rate up to operating range 10-15 minutes before the gun.

    Run fast.

5k is almost a sprint, so there's not much to it.
