I have a 6 foot tall bamboo plant that I need to cut-?

because it's not doing too well, if I just cut it with a sharp knife and stick it in water, will it grow again?

  1. No. You should bite it with your teeth, then stick it in some coffee.


  2. I have one that is four feet tall it is doing OK, but now would be the opportunity to make new plants, I'm going to cut mine into sections and put in decorative glass vases with pebbles or marbles in the bottom to hold the plants together.

  3. If you are referring to "Lucky Bamboo" then yes, but only if the plant is reasonably healthy. "Lucky Bamboo" is not really bamboo - it's a tropical called Dracaena.

    Real bamboo cannot be rooted in water.
