  1. Make sure there aren't any big fish in the tank. the big fish will eat them. you can put 30-45 guppies in it. For my guppies I think you should buy those small fish food. Tip: When feeding, crush them in your hand. They are two big to swallow.

  2. You definitely can't put 30-45 guppies that is WAY too overcrowded...

When it comes to guppies- 1 inch of fish per gallon.

You should also have about 3 females to each male.

I would say the best would be to go with 4 females and 2 males (6 guppies about 1 inch each= 1 inch/gallon)

this way, the tank is not overcrowded and there are double the amount of females so the males won't stress the females out too much when constantly trying to breed.

The best food for guppies would be a diet of live/frozen brine shrimp, freeze-dried bloodworms, and flake food.

However, guppies will do just fine with regular Tetramin tropical fish food.

    Hope this helps =]

    Good luck!

  3. 34 to 45 guppies is way too much for a six gallon tank. It depends on the size of the guppies. You should try the thumb inch rule ( for each thumb inch of there full adult size is 1 gallon of water it needs ). About 3 to 5 guppies should fit well in a six gallon tank with some real or artificial plants for the guppies to hide and a heater as guppies are a tropical fish. As for food, your normal flake food should be fine but vary there diet by adding some frozen or live treats, to provide a healthy diet.
