  1. You can handle this one, feed it crickets and mice, keep it in an open top bowl.... It's a great kids pet until it bites, and then it's minor like a lizard bite. But if it's handled daily it will know it's handler and it won't bite: The PacMan frog

    Go for it.

  2. uh......rnt all frogs the same? and big frog?

  3. Frog and can be held don't belong in the same sentence.  Frogs' skin is VERY thin and they are extremely sensitive to chemicals (including lotion, soaps, etc).  Don't get her a frog.  She's only 6 and doesn't understand that you CANNOT play with them.  Frogs are display animals, not ones you can play with.  I would not suggest them for anyone under age 12 EVER.

If you want something she can hold and play with, consider a bearded dragon.  They are MUCH bigger and don't easily get hurt.  PLEASE be a responsible parent and understand frogs and/or toads are NOT a good option for a very small child.

  4. i recomend a meduim or a big frog they would be easier to play wit and hold u know small ones usually r jumpier and harder to handle

ummm i would say a bull frog  < i got a tadpole that was supposed to turn into one but it died when it got its back feet :( i miss him/her

there pritty low maintence they can be active but not all the time they r really nice ummm.... a african dawrf frog is good 2 there liek then #1 recomended starter frog :p    if u need any info on either of those frogs u can email me at  chaoswwe666@yahoo.com

    hope i sorta kinda helped

  5. Tree frogs. red eyed tree frogs can't be bought, but this kind can:

  6. Tree frogs...They are just so cute! Be careful not to buy a poisonous one, though!

  7. ok, frogs are good, but you can'y handle them, the oils in your skin are poisonouse to them. So If she wants en exotic she can handle, I say get her a bearded dragon, but if she really wants a frog, she can't hold it. The best frog is either an african dwarf frog or a firebelly toad. They are both low maitenance and very active.--firebelly toad-http://allaboutfrogs.org/info/mypets/fir...

    African dwarf frog--http://frogworld.net/african-dwarf-frog/

Some frogs get so big you have to feed them mice, so stear clear of those cuz I doubt an 6 year old would like to see a cute fuzzy mouse die, this would end in a crying 6 year old. (well depends on your daughter...but i'm just speculating.)

  8. most frogs are slimy/sticky

    ugh

get some kind of toad, the larger the funner

a six year old, honestly, would probably get bored with something that just sits in a cage, i know i would.

i would suggest a rat, they make really great pets, or a ferret, descented and neutered/spayed if she wants something small. dogs or cats are the best though

  9. I would also suggest a tree frog if your daughter is really set on having a frog, check your local petstores to see what kinds of reptiles they carry.

If she is looking for something that she can hold and play with, though, I would suggest a leopard gecko or a bearded dragon, though. They are low maintenance, and can more easily be handled than a frog-- a frog will get away from a six year old no problem!
