I have a 62" mitsubishi 1080p?

Just bought a used 62 inch mitsubishi 1080p, picture is great for tv, but i just tried hooking it up to my sony play station 3, i get a scrambled screen on HDMI 2 and nothing on hdmi 1..any ideas?...i also did not get a remote with the tv, is there something i have to do first on the tv menu?

  1. Did you hoop-up a HDMI cable to and from each units?


  2. Most digital TVs that are full resolution output 1080p, simply because of the nature of the display -- LCDs and DLPs simply cannot manage an interlaced display. But not all digital TVs can accept a 1080p signal... some need a 1080i signal, which will be upconverted internally to 1080p.

    You'll have to check your TV's user manual.. if you don't have it, you may be able to find it online.

    As for the PS3, you can force it to detect your display, which might help. Hold the power button down after the first beep, wait for a second beep, and in theory at least, the PS3 will talk to your TV over HDMI, and agree upon the resolutions they both support.
