Ross unlimited is definitely one possibility if there is one near you.   Some WalMarts and KMarts have Womens's clothes to 5X and Men's clothes to 5-6X.  Sears and Penny's have guys 6x.

For if you have a credit card and can order by phone or on line cheapest we've seen (my husband and a friend of his are both large size) is  the closeout section in http://www.kingsizedirect.com/  or in their catalog....ex TShirts  from $5.99 Jeans from $8.99 and $16.99 Twill casuals from $11.99.   Dress shirts from $11.99 dress pants under $20.   Sizes go to 8x-10x in some things.   Nice thing about the close outs is the biggest sizes don't cost more on close out. For Women Romans and Lane Bryant are still the kind of standards tho if anyone has found better ones for real big sizes I'd like to know.

closeuot stores like Ross and Burlington Coat Factory have cheap stylish big/tall clothes. Also try ebay.
