  1. No it can't damage your set. Just make sure you get the component cables for the Wii and you'll be happy as the PQ will look a lot better than the standard cables you get with the Wii. You have rear projection which uses 3 color guns light source to bounce off a mirror to the project onto your screen. Unless you got a new DLP uses chipset technology with spinning mirror. Anyway have fun with your game system and your HDTV.

  2. no way

  3. No.  I have a Wii and a 57-inch rear projection.  The only issue would be burn-in, and that would only be an issue if you leave it on one fixed screen for a long period of time.

  4. If you put the game on pause for an hour or so then yes....otherwise you won't get any problems.

  5. If your Mits. is a CRT based set instead of DLP you could damage it. If your TV is more than 5 years old it's probably CRT but check with your local Mits. dealer to be sure, or post your model number in another question.

CRTs have phosphorus painted on their front surfaces. That's what lights up and makes the picture but the phosphors tend to brown over time. Any fixed image can impose itself on the face of a CRT (by prematurely browning that area) over time making a shadow of the fixed image on everything you watch.

If you have one of the newer DLP Mits. rear projection TVs, no trouble at all. Play away and have fun.

  6. video wise...no....but if the control isnts strapped tight... yes
