I have a 6hp old johnson i recently beached the boat and must have sucked sand up how do i clean the sand out?

i dont no how to clear it out or where the water pump is located please help

take  a power wsh system, and put the hose in the water outlet of the motor. if there is any excess room between the hose and the inside diamiter of the water out let, pack a rag in there to take up the clearence. turn on the power washer, and the pressure that, the power wash will put out, will deffinently remove any dried sand , fish, guppies, mother-in law out of there. good luck

Water pump or impellor is just above propellor. Try getting a set of "ear muffs"  ( they go over intake hole with a hose attatched )and flush out motor , or else put it in for a service.
