  1. My oldest son never held it, he just didn't have any interest. But my twin boys were about 8 months when they held there. It just depends on the baby and it you encourage it. Try putting her hands on the bottle every time you feed her.

  2. my 7 1/2 month old still wont my first daughter did at 5 months it all depends on the baby

  3. my friend has a son who she has to do physio on his hands cause he has week muscles he is 4 and the teacher noticed it in school.

talk to your local health nurse or gp

  4. my son never did, his grandma was teaching him all the time to do it, but i did not think it is a big deal. he learned how to hold his sippy cup when he turned1, and he learned how to tilt it upward last month, he's 15 month old boy.

    don't worry

  5. Cus, she is 7 months. Stop getting concerned about nothing at all. Oh yesh, DRAMA. sORYY.

  6. There are developmental checklists here..

    http://www.the-preschool-pages.com/links

Print one, complete it, and take with you to your next pediatrician appt.

  7. hey i would not be worried bout it.. every child is different some will hold it at a early age and some will never hold it.. my son held it at an early age and my newphew didnt hold is till he was 12 months.. if you still have a concern i would talk to her doctor bout it and see what he/she says bout it.. good luck with everything

  8. My daughter had no interest in holding it at all. She didn't start till she was over a year. If i made her she could other wise she just gave me a look like oh yea ...righhhht. I don't think bottle holding is really a mile stone. Ive never had a doctor ask me if she could do it so i dont think its anything seriously. My step mom use to get so mad at me because i didn't make my daughter hold it all the time. My daughter is happy and and healthy and that's all that matters to me.

  9. My son started at 4 months BUT my daughter didn't until almost 10 months.  DR wasn't concerned as long as she showed signs of strenght in her arms - like putting weight on them, holding toys.

Hang in there - she will do it before you know it.  I know how hard it is not to worry!

  10. dont worry about it its not a big deal,my first two held theirs i cant remember exactly what age about 6-7 mths but my third is now 14 mths and he refuses to hold laxy sod lol,he wil hold it when the cap is on but as soon as its off he wont touch it i have to hold it for him im not concerned his just been laxy about and nows it a bit of a habit but hes flying along in every other way so im not worried,he can manage holding a cup fine.its not the end of the world so long as she is developing fine in other ways not every child does everything by the book.
