Would I really notice the difference if I switched to HDMI? I'm also thinking of getting a new TV not much bigger and was wondering if I should get HDMI then. Your thoughts?

  1. You will not notice a difference between the two with 720P.

  2. HDMI is the only way to transmit digital video to your TV. You won't see a huge difference with a screen that small but you will see some difference.

And I agree, get the cheapest cable you can find. I got a $10 HDMI cable from Newegg and it works perfectly.

  3. the picture isn't much of a difference but the sound is. It's a bit louder

  4. no you wont really notice a deference. especially with 720p. just save your money and stick with component. But if you really want an hdmi cable then buy the cheapest one. don't be fooled by what the websites tell you. a digital signal is either all there or not there at all. so as long as the cable works it will not be any better or worse then another more expensive one
