  1. The electrical wires from your control box should be plugged there.

  2. You haven't described your problem.

Does it turn over when you turn the key to "start"?

Do you hear the solenoid "click"?

Does the starter motor turn at all?

    Does it engage the flywheel?

Can you hear the choke solenoid actuate when you "push-to-choke"?

If not, look on the port side of engine, find a red wire leading from the starter solenoid to the big red main engine wiring harness.  There's an inline fuse holder with a 20-amp fuse on that wire.  See if the fuse is blown.

If the electric choke works, or if the fuse is not blown, then troubleshoot the keyswitch, neutral start switch, and wiring harness.

Does then engine start when it turns over when you jump the solenoid?

Been like this ever since you got it?

Done any maintenance on it recently?

You mean that plug just beneath the throttle friction control k**b?  It's for the tachometer wiring harness.  Should have purple, gray and black.
