The noise is in the top end of the engine. If it were my car I'd say lifters, but I'm not too educated on motorcycle noises. Someone told me a clicking noise or rattling noise is normal for these bikes. The noise does not appear to get louder when the engine revs. No blue smoke and the bike drives fine.

because a bike of that age can easily loosen up some bolts that hold everything in place

  2. It is a cool bike, worth saving. Do a top end on it, Many more years of service..

  3. adjust the valves and cam chain- itll be fine.

  4. The bike is 30 years old.
