  1. I don't have an English degree, but I do enjoy learning about the English language.  While I am not currently teaching, I do have an early elementary teaching degree.  Test is actually not one of the words you don't add anything to to make it plural.  You can say, "Jasirah, please pass out the math tests."  Fish is one word that is the same both plural and singular.  The word deer is also like that as is money, moose and sheep.  Funny how it is mostly for animals, isn't it?  Pants, used in the sense of a clothing item, is a word that does not have a singular version.  You always say, "I am putting on my pants." or  "I packed two pair of pants in my suitcase.", never one pair of pant or one pant.  It is a good aspiration to learn about your language.  The very best thing she can do is read a lot and read many different types of things, not just fictional stories, but the newspaper, the dictionary, maps, autobiographies, and non-fiction works.  It is also good to read the classics such as Tom Sawyer and Swiss Family Robinson.  Likely above her reading level, but they are good to read to her.  Go often to the library and look especially for books that have won awards such as the Caldecott medal or Newberry award winners.  The best thing you can do is encourage her and read to her.

  3. There are a large amount of "collective nouns" that do not require an 's' to be pluralized. For a list, check this link.
