  1. Perhaps you need to change the way you are looking  for a job. Looking for a job should become your fulltime job. Starting Monday morning  (7 AM) get up and get dressed just like you are going to work. . Spend the next 5-6 hours of the day actively working toward getting a job- I.E researching job leads, following up on applications you have filled out, making cold calls, working on your resume. Something will come up. Because your debt is so small I would call whom ever the debt is owed to and try to make sometime of arrangement.

  2. There's a good article at eHow on steps to take to begin tackling your debt.  Take a look at it:

    How to Stop Escalating Debt

It includes information on companies (both non-profit and for-profit) that can help you with debt consolidation and reduction.

You can also look here for tips on earning some extra cash online:

Lastly, here's an interesting alternative to conventional lending...getting a "social networking" loan from Virgin Money (from the same folks who run Virgin Airlines):

  3. time to start hocking stuff -- start with computer!!!

  4. Well it all depends on if you have any income at all.  The first thing you should do is contact your debtors, and stay in contact with them. Then if you have an income of any sort and can afford to send in 5$ a week. This will show that you are trying and it will slowly lower that debt. As for the job you local health and human services department might be able to help you find a job or even check with a local temp agency, I have done this myself in the time of need.

  5. You could try calling the credit card company and try to get them to lower your payments.  Say that you have no job or the means to get to a job and that if they don't lower your payments, you won't be able to give them anything.

I would also try looking at your state's department of labor and seeing if they have any programs that can help you find a job and get transportation.

  6. A few good ideas here, so let me just add one more.  Cut your card in half and cancel the thing officially.

The fact that it's open disappears from your credit report... but you still need to make regular payments to close it down.

Keep working on trying to get some earnings... but when you find yourself in a hole --> stop digging !! (ie using the card!)

After this, try to get a few hundred bucks in the bank to avoid against any future surprises.  Cash is king.

  7. Hi,

I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and avoid bankruptcy. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

  8. Spend every day looking for work, don't wait for someone to come looking for you.  If the only job you can get is flipping burgers, it is better than nothing.  Call the credit card company and tell them your situation and what you can pay.  Don't add to your credit debt.

  9. You can sell your things like your house and move into an apartment . Live on beans and rice rice and beans. Do you have a dgree in somthing try to get a job close enough to your house so you can walk

  10. i have same situation
