  1. If it is staying on even when the car is off, the amp was wired incorrectly. You could re-run the remote wire to an accessory that is only on when the car is, like the radio itself or cigarette adapter (some cars).

However, you can definitely run a switch to manually turn the amp on and off. Basically, you will simply cut the remote wire and add the switch. It is slightly more complicated than that, since you will have to extend the wire to get the switch where you want it, but it isn't very hard at all. It also might be a good idea to run an inline fuse in the remote wire, especially if it isn't currently running through a fused source.

I did this in my old car, and had the switch mounted in my dash. You can get the switches at an auto parts store, ebay, and some hardware stores, to name a few.

  2. why would U need to do that ,,,unless the remote wire is wired to the wrong wire,,,posibly the red or yellow wire behind the radio go back there and hook it to the blue-white remote turn on wire and the amp will turn off,,, did U hook up a fuse-block to the 4 guage near the batt.???and re-check ALL the wires,,,and holla back at us, b careful too

  3. you need to hook up a remote wire man!! still the switch isnt such a bad idea to have when building louder systems, i have one in my car for when the po po are around
