I have a 83 yz490 motor in my yamaha blaster frame and it has started spraying oil my whole rearend is coated.

it was running good and strong and i went for a tour one night and when i got home i noticed oil all over my rear end.

  1. Did you mount the engine to the blaster, the same angle it was mounted in the bike?


  2. either you have too much oil in it so that it is blowing by OR your breather tube is restricted causing blow by...

    easiest is to check the oil level site glass to see if overfilled, it that's okay, it's the breather tube clogged.
