I have a 86% in my class after a final exam which was worth 25% i scored a 55% what will my mark drop down to?

even if it goes to 79 its ok

because the school i go to

79 has to go up to a 80

Hi, you need to use a weighted average.

The 86% was worth 75% of your final mark so 86*.75 = 64.5

Now the 55% was worth 25% so 55 * .25 = 13.75

Now you add those together to obtain:

64.5 + 13.75 = 78.25.

Hopefully your teacher will let you through with that mark.
