  1. I agree with John Paul. For it to ge cost effective, your best option will be to do a turbo swap. Engine will be ready to go (plug and play).

  2. I would suggest just buying a second-hand complete turbo engine. Although I know nothing specific about these Nissans, generally speaking, factory turbo engines are often different to the normally aspirated versions in terms of pistons, compression ratios, main bearings etc etc etc. Another alternative would be to have a reputable tuning shop recondition your engine to stronger turbo specs and install the turbo kit for you. This can get expensive, though. To install a turbo kit to your existing engine might be more expensive if you need an new engine in a month or two. Reliable high performance costs $$$.

  3. As soon as you install a power adder (turbo) onto that old motor it will start hurting the old rod bearings and blowing compression by past the pistons. Yes you will have to change everything to make a KIT work why do you think they call it a kit. And after installation larger injectors and Engine control modifications. Better exhaust and bigger wheel and tires with larger brakes to stop it. There is no cheep way to do what your about to do.
