I have a 87 acura legend with a 2.5 engine and wondering if i replace it with a 2.7 will it work still?

  1. Should be ok, but you need to have the 2.7's wiring harness, and brain.


  2. You just have to measure the motormount location and the transmission lines up and you are good to go.

    Alternatively, you can call AMERICAN HONDA in Torrance, CA and their engineers can give you the exact specifications and tell you about the compatability of the two engines.

    I had questions about motorcycle stuff and they were able to answer everything for FREE.

    They assemble all motorcycles and Honda race engines over there so they've got a lot of experts on Honda engines.

  3. The acura engines you have in question are basically the same, the difference being a few sensors and sending units.

    Mostly,the real difference is internal, ie; a change in piston displacement.
