  1. i agree with getting her/him checked

    feed them things they like

    erm

    they like things like yoghurt

one of mine had a particular liking for chocolate milk

they shouldnt be eanten in large amounts

but its better to have them eat something

other stuff could include sweetcorn, bread (be careful that bread is in VERY small amounts cos can be dangerous if to much is eaten)

    erm

soft things unlike the rat food you can buy

just because if it is ill it would be easier to eat

also it sounds so young that maybe its not ready for that kind of food and is shaking because it needs some sort of nutrition that hasnt been provided

    hope this helps

    good luck

    Kx

  2. She's not yet ready to eat on her own. They are weened at 3-4 weeks. At 9 days your rat will perish without being fed the milk her mother gave. You need to return her to her mother ASAP so that she can grow. If the mother is dead due to the snake, there is no other option than euthanasia or you getting a liquid food that is similar to rat milk and feeding her every 2 hours.

If you have another mother rat at home, she can be a segregate mother. Other than that, your rat is too young to be eating solids :\

  3. first of all THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE POOR LITTLE THING! make sure to cuddle her in a blanket, and call a vet to see about the eating problem you are using a rodent bottle right she/he isn't big enough for hard food.

  4. go to the vet and have her checked out

  5. Tell your parents to stop being irresponsible and switch to prekilled. Safer for the snake and more humane for the animal.

She is far too young to eat solids she needs to be hand fed. Information on caring for orphans:
