She has used baby powder but I think it is not very effective. I also sweat a lot and luckily I use deodorant which works out fine. I don't smell of sweat. But I am worried for my little girl, she might be teased at school when I can do something about it.

  1. If you are in the UK it is possible to buy the natural rock deodorant at Boots, it is called Pit Rock.  It's about £6 but it lasts for absolutely ages so it does work out cheaper in the end.  You might prefer that.  I find that I still sweat, but it doesn't smell, which I think is probably healthier than blocking up all the sweat pores/glands.

  2. regular baths?

  3. Yes, deodorant is fine. Perhaps something gentle like Dove or Nivea.

  4. order aloe vera deodrant from an aloe vera catalogue or get an all natural deodrant from the body shop or somewhere!

im 15, have been using aloe vera deodrant since i was 8. as it is natural it is much less harmful than sure, right guard, nivea etc...

    hope that helped xx

  5. Lots of kids start wearing deoderent when they are her age.

Roll on sticks are cool! They can be in cool scents, too!

  6. Is she going into puberty?

If so a teen antiperspirant should be good.

If not I would ask the doctor to check her thyroid for problems before just treating as b/o.

  7. She is at the age now where her body is changing. Check out what is offered in the deodorant dept. Some are geared towards teens, and in her case.,preteens. Let her pick out a fragrance, or one without. It will help her to not be noticed for sweating, and in a year or so, others will be wearing antiperspirants also.

  8. Of course  she should use deoderant and of course its safe for her - why wouldn't it be????

  9. she is old enough for deodorant. that is when i started wearing it, and im still alive. start her out on some light, teen deodorant.

  10. get her deodorant!

sweating is really embarrassing and I have this problem too.

people come in school and ask me what I've been doing because of how much I'm sweating

it's embarrassing and makes your child an easy target to get teased.

    good luck!

  11. why not get her one of those roll on deodorants...much less harmful than spray deodorants.

  12. Yeah she's fine. It can't hurt her. I started using deodarent when I was 11, bu 9 should be alright. Ask her pediatrician is your not sure.

Also, make sure she is taking a shower/bath and washing her hair and body everyday now. I'm not sure if she is already or not. But when I was younger I washed my hair every other day, and i started washing everyday when I was about 8.

  13. Use a dove deodorant stick - it's not harmful and it'll stop her being singled out for smelling! Introduce it to her in a kind way - just say you've noticed this smell, and it's normal to reduce it by using a deodorant. Dove stick's are really safe :)

  14. In the natural / holistic dept of most grocery stores they sell a "salt crystal" deoderant.    It will stop any odor for 24 hours, and is perfectly safe for kids.  And it wont stain the arm pits of her shirts.    Its what my GYN reccomends for all her patients.  The aluminums in anti perspirants can cause cancer.

  15. yea you can use roll on deodorant after every shawer or u can use deodorise after shawer powder its easy in summers try 2 take bath 2 to3 times baths its good

  16. Deodorant is fine, antiperspirant is not. Antiperspirant contains aluminum which has been known to cause cancer. You can find natural deodorants that contain Tea Tree Oil as the active ingredient. Tea Tree Oil kills the bacterias that cause stinkiness. J/A/S/O/N makes a really good brand of deodorant that is all natural, effective and safe.

  17. She is at a crucial age where teasing can absolutely ruin her life, so definitely do something about it! because she's so young the amount of aluminum in normal dove, secret, or ban deodarant brands might be harmful. I suggest going to the drug store and asking if there is an aluminum free roll on deodarant that you can get. Otherwise Adidas makes a 0% aluminum brand that's around 4 dollars.

  18. Deodorant is perfectly safe. I started using deodorant at 11, but everyone is different.
