I have a 9 year old sis what should we do for a really nice in-exspicive room theme?

9 years old, I just did my daughters room in tinkerbell and disney fairies for less than $150 total.  Painted walls 2 shades of pink with purple trim and pink purple and lime green accents.  Bought alot of stuff second hand and spray painted.  Got fairy stickers on Ebay for like $11.  On the other hand I am getting ready to do my nieces bedroom in cheap Hannah Montanna.  Purple walls with discount glam fabrics, basically glam to the max with pillows gallor and glitter extreme.

Of course some girls aren't into such girly things, would kinda go with her interests.  By this age girls are outgrowing the kiddy things, but still want to hold onto them, I would suggest shelves to hold the precious things that she just can't let go of.

Favorite Characters and Cartoons can really fluctuate in a growing mind. A really good theme would be a color scheme, you can do a lot with just that and incorporate little themes throughout the room so that when she gets older it'll be easier to replace.

Keep the structure of the room a controlled variable which means, paint it a color that can be matched with many different colors. The changing factors in the room could be her bed spread or the wall decor, the hardware like door handles and light switches and stuff like that which are all inexpensive to replace once she grows out of them.

As far as furniture IKEA would be the BEST place to shop at. They have room ideas posted online and they have great storage solutions for kids.
