  1. depending on how well trained he is, he is going to need to be retrained to accept rider and the correct way of moving.

You need to loosen him up so that he does not fight with you and relax under you supervision. His muscles need to relax in order for you to train him to furthermore show him. It is a long process but well worth it.

He will need to accept moving comfortably forward using his back hand to move without pulling or leaning on his forehand. You will then need to work on his gaits so his muscles will get used to be moving like this. Believe me, you will have many a problem along the way, but seeing he is 9years he should be at least mildly trained to ride and not just off the track.

Keep him cool and collected and do not overdo the 'heat' feeds that will hot him up.

    Good luck!

  2. If you want to no for Hunters you need to slow him down!!! Try halting in front of little jumps then trot if he speeds up halt. Try it might work!

  3. work on keeping her slow and steering and bring her in a circle if she goes to fast
