  1. load test your battery and if that is not it it is just the alternator  otherwise i would replace it with the alternator

  2. Need a new alternator. 7 volts is not enough to power all the electrical systems. Alternator volts at battery should be about 13.5 to 14 volts.

  3. if your alternator is only charging at 7 volt, then the batery willnot be to teh level that it needs to be so the distributer cannot get the coltage that it needs, so of course the problems are related. my suggestion is tat you replace the alternator , have the battery tested, and go from there. i think that your problems will subside after that. from what i have seen, you can find two different types of alternators for that car. the plugs on both are identical, but when you hook it up and run the engine, the battery will charge bt the light will stay on. i had this happen on mine years ago.

  4. it is ur alternator.. it should be suppplying ur car with power without the use of the battery.. u only need the battery to start the car then u can drive without it..

  5. no...must be the alternator, belt, or belt tension, bad battery, or bad / dirty connection,s , or possible faulty wiring or regulator.
