Question:

I have a 91 Acura Legend and my fan staid on for 4 hours and died out my battery what is the problem?

so what should i do....its my first car and i have no idea what to do

  1. I too have a 91 Acura Legend and I too had the same problem. It was my fan relay. It was $27.95 for the part at O'Reilly auto parts and it took all of about 10 minutes to replace


  2. I should agree with Jac.

    A faulty relay or a faulty temperature sensor.

    Since the temp. sensor is a non-moving part, it is more probable to be the relay.  Relay for cars tends to be mechanical types.

  3. you know whats wrong with it if you tell a mechanic this he will know what to do. most likely the fan relay has stuck on

  4. engine thermostatic is bad.  

  5. 99% sure it is the fan relay.

  6. i'd say that you have a bad relay

  7. sounds like you might have a bad coolant temp sensor or a stuck fan relay.
