Question:

I have a 94 jeep whose middle console doesn't work

I checked the fuse box and i don't know what fuse would be it or what i could do all the lights light up its just the computer part of it that doesn't work you know like the part that tells you that the doors open lights do not work car needs water etc.

  1. First of all, I assume you're talking about a Grand Cherokee. Check the fuse box (located by the driver kick panel). Take the cover off, and it should have a diagram with what each fuse is for. The screen by the shifter is called the VIC (Vehicle Information Center). Most of the time those things just start to die, and one time the one on my Jeep ('96 Grand Cherokee) started flashing random messages to me, then just shut off randomly. What I did was disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes, let it sit, and drain all the electricity from the system. After that, connect it and check the VIC again (this is when mine started working). If it is still not working, chances are it's dead. You can try to get a new one at a dealership/junk yard, but it will be hard to find at a junkyard, and about $400 new at the dealership.
