Question:

I have a 99 Ford Taurus 3.0 litre when the fuel gauge gets to half a tank the check engine light comes on. ?

I have replaced the fuel cap and the fuel filter. Anyone have any ideas?

  1. After replacing the gas cap, did you reset the engine's computer?  Sometimes you have to clear the codes out.  Otherwise, the system still believes there is a problem.
