I have a 99 bonneville, i notice my car was trying 2 cut of on me and the engine light came on.

so i took my car 2 autozone 2 get my read. i was told that is reading tuneup and told 2 buy some lucas tuneup n the bottle. got home and put the lucas in my car. next thing i know clouds of white smoke came out the tailpipe. i cut the engine of waited 4 about 30 mins. tried 2 start the car back up and would start. when try 2 start it, it clicks like its the starter but want start. someone looked at the sparkplugs and oil was on the sparkplug.

1 bottle treats up to 25 gallons of gas! how much gas did you have in it when you added the tune-up? I don't think this is the tune-up that the code indicated. Tune up normally means plugs,wires, fuel filter,air filter, pcv valve, ect.......

I recommend you replace the items listed above (make sure the gap is set correctly on the plugs) fill the car with fuel, try to get it started and see if smoke clears up after about 5 or ten minutes!
