The bushings are shot on the rear leaf springs. Nobody seems to manufacture replacements. Ford wants me to put in new springs to get the bushings. Does anybody know if a different years bushings will work?

  1. as long as your springs are not worn you can order bushings through alot of different places for like 10 or 15 bucks. i just replaced the rear springs on my 99 ranger, i was able to get them through brake service for half the price ford wanted. i got the heavy duty and they made it sit up alot higher.

  2. There are several aftermarket companies making and selling replacement front and rear suspension components and bushings. jamesduff.com/broncoII/bodylifts.html and jcwhitney.com are just two that come to mind. Check out your local auto parts stores. Check out ads in 4x4 magazine.
