I have a 99 seadoo gsx limited jet ski that won't start now.?

Question

I took it out to the lake and forgot to close the things in the back that lets the water out when you are done riding. So it got some water in it and i thought it just messed up the battery so i went to go buy a new one but i put it on and still won't start it just makes a beep noise when i push the start button. If i can avoid taking it to the repair shop it would help alot. Thanks

i'm not sure what the cause of just beeping and not starting... i'm trying to find the answer to that myself. mine started today and when i went to restart it it just beeped.  i let it sit for a bit and eventually it did start again.  maybe try starting it again, if you haven't tried that already?  worth a try.

If you submerged the starter motor, it likely needs to be removed, disassembled, and dried out, at a minimum.  Check all fuses first though.

no the battery should be fine since the engine bay is meant to be able to get wet but u should have made sure that the battery was charged up all the way otherwise sorry but you might have to brig it into the shop
