I have a B.S in biology and want to pursue a Masters in forensic science, should i go at it from the criminal justice route, and get my masters in that?

  1. To work in a federal laboratory, you will need a Masters in Forensic Science instead of Masters in Criminal Justice since Forensics has become so popular and competitive. A Masters in Criminal Justice only prepares you for administration positions within the criminal justice field.


  2. You should continue with the science-based forensics program.  There are a number of good colleges that offer the masters program, including the one at Chaminade University in Honolulu.  Check their website for the program details.  www.chaminade.edu
