  1. when they are giving you the shot, hold some ones hand and squeeze it really hard and have that person talk to you (sometimes that helps)

or you can put on some headphones and play some music really loud so you can focus on it, instead of the needle.

also, try to look away, watching will only make it worst.

hope that helps, it helped me.

injections are not as bad as you think, it will be quick and painless. no worries!  (-:

  2. I was so afraid of shots too. But when I got my last one about a year ago I honest to god felt nothing. The only pain was for about a week felt like a muscle strain or something but that's it. And the shot I got was a tettanus booster or something like that.

    Hope I helped!

  3. from now until it is time for the shots, don't think about it and when did you last have one? because now the needles are so tiny, that you won't even feel it. I am a diabetic and am not a fan of shots either, but i have to give myself a shot every day and guess what, i don't even feel it, but you want to know something i was more afraid when i was thinking about it, so i am sure it will be ok just make sure the doctor gives you 3 goodies for being brave.

  4. i have personally experienced what your going through and i understand where your coming from. i have found that while looking away works in not knowing whats happening it only makes me fear it more because i am waiting for it to happen. i think you need to watch and make sure your doctor doesnt joke around. have him/her get it over with as quickly as possible.

  5. embrace it sit there and watch the needle go into your body then next time you wont be afraid

  6. you are just going to have to commit to it. look the other way and bite your lip. they are QUICK and then it's all done. no harm done.

  7. Ask your doctor for a lidocaine patch. They numb the area and you don't feel a thing.
