i have instaled on my pc The Sims 2 with all expansion packs...it works great......but my space on C (there is the Windows and there is my saves from the game) is getting smaller....yesterday was 5,2 GB, today morning was 5 GB and now is 4,9)

I think is the game because i dont install other games, i dont download something from the net....the folder where is the saves from The Sims 2 is getting bigger........what i can do?

  1. go to your hard drive C:\ and give it a right click go to options and down you will find a box saying compress to save space check it if you already have done make a disk clean up and defragment or if you have another hard drive like D:\ just install it there  good luck

  2. Chances are they're just temporary, backup, and basically junk files that The Sims likes to dump on your computer everytime you play it. Try downloading and running CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com), and AtomicCleaner (www.freewebs.com/atomiccleaner). Both are great at getting rid of space consuming unwanted files. With AtomicCleaner definately use the Gamer's clean! Hopefully that helps, good luck!

  3. i hate to say this, but deleting the game may be the answer im afraid.

    haha

are you sure you aren't saving files form your handycam or digital camera or something else? otherwise the save game files from your Sims game must be d**n huge! (in which case, you will have to deal with it if you want to keep playing)

    Hope you get it fixed!

  4. go to www.iolo.com

    download its trial version

and with the help of it, remove the system Clutter & extra temporary files, use all its options to optimize ur system if you have time

  5. You should download an anti-virus (like AVG and Norton) and scan the computer it can be a worm, if you found viruses you can heal it or delete it (the virus not the game).

  6. move to your D drive, if unable to do so re-install to D drive by browzing there. I had the same issue with FM 2008 and moving to D drive resolved.

  7. Ok well you either have to uninstall other software you dont need/use, or backup large files like music or movies on to dvd or an external hard drive.  You cannot stop more information from being saved on the game, its all well and good to say 'dont say delete the game' but i you do not delete anything else then you will need to.

I recommend backing up unecessary files on to dvd and external hard drives like movies and music and uninstall software you dont need.

    Hope this helps.
