I have been working in UAE, though I have a Bahrain Residence visa (Temporary Work Residence Permit, valid until 18-08-2008. Our Head office is in Bharain, and Branch office in UAE (Abu Dhabi). My passport pages are getting run out, I need to add more pages, my passport expires 26-10-2009.

Can I renew my passport now itself in UAE, or not ...

If not, can I add additional pages for the passport in UAE emabassy, or should it be done in Bahrain itself ??

  1. Normally I am in complete agreement with my knowledgeable (and delightful) French colleague, but in this case, it is my opinion that if you are not in your own country, you may re-new your passport wherever your country has a foreign mission that can accommodate your request.

  2. one must renew the passport at his place of residence only, it matters not where you work, it is where you live that counts,

  3. the answer to your question is pretty simple. If you are holding both Bahrain and UAE residency then you have the choice of doing it at any place provided that your original country have a consulate or embassy there.

  4. I'm with curious one   surely your home country has a diplomatic mission  where you are
