I have a Ball Python and I'm planning on getting a Red Tailed Boa. Can I keep them together?

  1. no they need different set-ups also no snakes should be housed together and most importantly u should never mix species of reptile due to fighting eating one another bacteria and disease related problems as stress


  2. i have a 7 foot redtail boa and a 5 foot ball python and keep them together. i probably should not do that but its been two years and no problems.

  4. No you can't keep them together.

    Both snakes needs different housing and set up. Also both snake will be different in size(red tails can get up to 10 feet while ball pythons are usually stays at 5 feet) Also when mixing the snakes together, it is more likely that diseases will spread. And then the vet bills goes up.

    The only thing you can keep together are the same species of snakes(like a red tail boa and a red tail boa, a ball python and a ball python.)
