  1. dont let it get that big its at the end of its life-cycle try bruchetta or switch to indicas and hydro

  2. The little white flowers will be followed by seeds. If you want to perpetuate the plant, cut it down to just above the fifth pair of leaves from the bottom. You will get a little more lateral growth that way. If you don't top it, it will become leggy and you will not get more good leaf pairs to eat.

  3. Basil plants are annual which mean they only last one year. It sounds as if it is going to seed which means that you wont have it for much longer. Keep it untill the seeds have formed and the plant has turned brown, then you can collect the seeds and re-sow them for next year. They grow easily from seed as most herbs do. Cut the better looking leaves off and if you are not going to use them all dry the remaining ones in a warm oven then (when completely dry and not before) store in an airtight container. These should last you untill the next plant is ready to harvest.

  4. Take off some leaves and make pesto!
