you either need a home theatre receiver as a go between. It's fiddly because the bose has very few connection options.

you could go out from the ps3 optical into the receiver and then into the bose.  

the owners manual is online (see link)

OR!! you could shell out on the Bose® Lifestyle® VS-2 Video Enhancer which looks like the easiest option to me as it has component and hdmi built in.  :-)
