I had my teeth filled about a year ago and one of my back molars broke yesterday. The back part of my tooth is gone. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what was the outcome for you? Is there any other options besides having it pulled and if its pulled.. how do you get by with the missing molar and nothing in that spot to chew your food??? Thanks so much!!

  1. This is a wake-up call, you probably have other cavities....I recommend you get to the dentist, get everything fixed, and keep regular dental visits to prevent further problems!

    Brush and Floss daily!

  2. is possible that your dentist may be able to cap your molar  making the tooth whole again

if it has to be pulled it will take about a week to accustom but will be able to eat as normal you may get phantom feelings as if the tooth was still there

  3. i had a couple cracked teeth when i was younger. they were baby teeth though and got pulled out by the dentist. only thing you can really do is get it pulled and have it replaced by a fake tooth. sorry this happened =(

  4. I actually have the same problem.  An entire side of my molar broke off, and they told me, the only option was to pull the tooth. They can put a fake tooth in, or if you're wisdom teeth haven't come in, hope that it will fill it's place...At least that's what my dentist told me.

  5. Not sure but THIS IS A SIGN THAT YOUR BODY NEEDS CALCIUM. Us women especially after we have children or as we get older.
