I have a CD-17 1960 5.5 hp johnson outboard,would like to put a fuel pump on it and eliminate pressure tank.?

  1. You will need the small fuel pump-Its thick gasket and a fuel fitting for your new primer bulb gas line. Note; don't throw away that pressure tank a restored one is approching $300. First determine if you have an induction cover casting with all the bumps on it to take the fuel pump. If there are no pads on it you will need to find one that does. You might find one that is already drilled. Either way install the induction cover (drilled and tapped and a passage for the pulse) and the gasket to the motor. route the carb fuel line to the die cast nipple, and the fuel in line to the plastic cover nipple. Switch out the fuel connectors (that one from the tank was $45.00 last time I looked) And your ready to go -bomb free.
