I have a Canon Camcorder

I have a Canon Camcorder MV750i purchased april 2004It was not used for a few weeks when it was turned on it was able to playback but no image appeared on the screen when it was turned on.The various modes were displayed and in the middle of the screen were white marks indicating the corner of the image.
