I have a Canon SRL

I have a Canon SRL Rebel 1.5 years old and the flash stoped to work. If I am taking pictures inside the house the pictures are dark( you can see the subject but is dark)and the flash does not activate. When I am taking outside everything is working fine.Could anybody help me, with any suggestion?
